Community Involvement

I have served as the Burlington Ward 7 Inspector of Elections and am the current Burlington Ward 4 Clerk of Elections. You’ve probably seen me at the polls over the years - the Miller Center, St. Mark’s, and most recently at the Elks Lodge.

I frequently attend our monthly Neighborhood Planning Assembly (NPA) meetings and became a steering committee member this past September. My family is an enthusiastic supporter of the New North End Food Pantry – a vital resource for our neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet.

Over the years, I have organized neighborhood block parties and yard sales; collected donations of food and clothes; and created neighborhood email lists to share information about missing pets or assistance needed. Most recently, I have been part of a rapid response group to support neighbors who have been threatened by ICE.

My work

I have proudly devoted my entire career as a mental health clinician to improving the lives of Vermont children and families through my work with Spectrum Youth and Family Services, NFI Hospital Diversion Program, First Call Crisis, and private practice.

For the past 10 years, I have worked as a training and coaching specialist at UVM, providing trauma-informed, anti-racist, relationally and developmentally focused learning opportunities for professionals and birth, foster, and adoptive parents.

Most recently, I have been coordinating a study on the impact of a 10-week course on intergenerational trauma for the parents of children who are returning from foster care. So far, the study shows very positive results!!
